HF2 developed and constructed a 1 MW thin-film photovoltaic power plant in the Apulia region of Italy. Connected to the grid beginning of 2011, HF2 was one of the first photovoltaic plants using the thin-film of this type to receive bank financing in Italy. The company successfully sells the energy to the market and is also entitled to the Italian GSE feed-in tariff system. The power production amounts to approximately 1.4 GWh per year, which is enough to supply energy for approximately 537 households. In addition, photovoltaic plant contributes to the reduction of approximately 1’600 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.
